An establishment such as a hair salon's key feature to gaining a customers trust and loyalty is without a doubt their consistency in their service, which is why I am posting a review after my third visit. … More I am very strict about my hair and the style that I want it to turn out. I'm glad Haven never fails to deliver and meet my high expectations.
To begin with, their website is extensive and informative. I went through their information, team members, different services, and eventually I booked my appointment for a short haircut with Julia. I got to the salon and as soon I entered I was greeted warmly and felt very welcomed as a new customer.
The layout of the unit is well done and practical. Seating area in addition to a coat hanger right at the entrance, beside the reception desk. Then the salon lobby and at the end, hair washing stations. I received a very in-depth consultation about what haircut I want, what the hairstylist Julia suggested, what the proposed haircut would look on me, etc. Evan (one of the founders) also joined in on the consultation which made me not only feel extra welcome and valued as a customer, but also displayed the team's friendliness, professionalism, and knowledge.
After we came to a decision, Julia washed my hair and got started on the haircut. I was very surprised that a complete hairwash and blowdry was included in their service. Julia was clearly highly skilled and trained. She was very kind and checked up on me and the status of the cut (whether its satisfactory or not) periodically. She was also very patient with my questions and gave me detailed answers and information, while also keeping me in the loop of the progress of the haircut throughout the different steps.
Each time I come here my experience is nothing short of amazing and I am highly satisfied with their consistency in providing high quality service.

Ever since the initial review, I have referred two family members to Haven and they were very happy with their experience. I really liked their "refer friends and get discounts" plan that is put in place, not only did my family get a wonderful haircut, but I also got discounts for my own future haircut. So thank you once again to Julia for providing a memorable experience for my mother, and thank you to Kristen for giving my sibling a haircut they couldnt stop talking about! -

Havenly disappointed! I was looking for some place for Balayage/highlights. After doing my thorough research, I shortlisted 2 saloons! First one on my list was "Haven" I got strong references for this place. And I was very much … More impressed by their google reviews and website. Their website is so organized with lot of information about hair dressers, founders, pricing, sevices they provide. The most attraction on their website was "Complimentary Consultation" for me. As I really wanted to understand which Balayage would look good on me, whats the process before I avail that service. So I called them to book an appointment. My first preference was Evan. Unfortunately he was not available- so I asked for Julia, again she was not available. So lady suggested to go with Luxe ..I quickly got convinced as I had seen good reciews for her too. So appointment was booked after mutually agreed date and time. Lady asked me to enter the credit card details so in case if I dont show up they willl charge me ( Surprised). I said ok. On the day of appointment, they called me just 7-8 hrs before but I missed the call. ( no voice message left) I called them back within one hour as I was at work. And guy told me Luxe is not working this evening so do you want to come on some other time? ( I booked this appointment and I planned my day at work so I can drop at the saloon why returning back) and he asked me to come some other time. He offered me all other options for example 2 pm, 3 pm. No one was available after 5 pm. And suddenly he offered Evan whereas he was not available at first placce. Seriously? The guy on call was having so casual approach and he just advised to cancel the appointment. Where is your commitment? No apology. I was eagerly looking for this so I can avail their services thinking that I am in best hands. You ask for credit card details so we stay committed and now how about your commitment? My question is do you really provide "Complimentary Consultation to needy" or it is just on website????????????

I have been a loyal client at Haven for over two years, entrusting Evan and Luxe with my haircuts, color corrections, and balayage. Most recently, I had the pleasure of scheduling a full head balayage session with Luxe, in addition to a … More root shadow, full head coloring, and an Olaplex treatment.
My hair type presents a challenge due to its coarse texture and thickness, but it also had remnants of red color that proved stubborn to remove. Luxe’s approach was both transparent and honest, she couldn't guarantee the red will be completely gone. She patiently and gently worked on removing the red tones which included a neutralizing process with a turquoise color to ensure my hair was ready for the transformation I desired.
What truly impressed me was Luxe’s introduction of a new product, a gentle colour remover that does not contain sulfate(?). She suggested we try it on my hair, emphasizing Haven’s commitment to top-quality products. This attention to detail reflects how much they care about their clients’ satisfaction. Moreover, Evan goes beyond the ordinary. He delves into the mechanics and technology behind each product, ensuring they deliver exceptional results. This salon doesn't just use any product.
As someone who has undergone multiple hair processes, I appreciate a product that is both gentle and effective. At Haven, achieving platinum blonde for my Asian hair was possible in just one session—a feat that would typically require multiple visits elsewhere. The red undertone is still there but toned down into a beautiful ash.
I’ve attached photos—one capturing Luxe meticulously trimming my hair, and the other taken after two washes. Remarkably, the color has maintained its beauty, defying the usual fading trend. Luxe, I cannot thank you enough!
Lastly, Haven’s team of stylists operates like a well-oiled machine. They support each other, with Sharon’s efficiency standing out. I never worry about the outcome because I wholeheartedly trust the talented stylists at Haven. Consider me a forever client.

She's the only hair stylist that told me that I didn't need a perm because I already had natural waves (side note- I've suspected I had wavy hair for a while but I tried SO many wavy and curly hair style tutorials and none of them worked- it would dry completely straight). Instead of further damaging my hair with a perm, she taught me how to style it (worked so well!) and gave my hair treatments to make the hair healthier.

I do NOT recommend CAITLIN.
Today I had a haircut with Caitlin and it was a pretty bad experience. During the wash she kept scratching my head with her super long nails and massaged it so hard that I literally winced in pain.
In general … More I got an impression that she is a very harsh hairdresser who does not have a "feel" for the hair. For example, she kept combing my hair from the middle of my forehead, while my hairline is much higher.
At the end she put a tonne of hair mousse into my hair even though my hair is pretty thin. When I got back home I had to wash my hair again because my skin was so irritated from all the scratching and then a tonne of hair mousse on top of it.
The haircut itself was pretty mediocre.

Here is a picture of the "layers" Caitlin did. They are not blended at all. I am pretty disappointed because this means that I will have to go to another place to fix the haircut. The reader of this review, please judge for yourself if you'd want the same cut. -

The hair wash was sooo relaxing. And the cut went great. Julia was very meticulous and I love that she referenced back to what I had asked for to make sure I was still feeling good about it. She put me at ease the entire time. Ouu, she also styled my hair really nice after the cut! I've never looked at the back of my head and actually liked it that much before! Usually I find it a bit thick/ heavy back there but she had taken the time to thin it a bit for me.
All the staff here are so nice and you can see in their own conversations that they're having fun with their clients. I also liked that the salon was a high ceiling space in a corner. There's so much natural light coming in. What a great layout and design. It's a comfortable space, for sure.
